    Overview

    Responsible for all elements of the clinical laboratory operations from point of patient reception, specimen collection, specimen processing, and reporting for all entities owned or affiliated with Interpath Laboratory, Inc. within area.

    Skills

    Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, use of multiple data bases, coordination of people, effective meeting facilitator, effective written and oral communications.

    Qualifications

    Education: High School graduate or equivalent, and college education preferred.

     

    Licensure/Certification: N/A

     

    Experience: Good communication skills; Accurate and detail oriented; Good organizational skills; Experience with management of staff; Ability to manage workload and delegate.

    Responsibilities

    Responsible for all operational activities in given area, including patient reception, specimen processing, and specimen collection.

    Maintain Interpath’s corporate culture.

    Maintain compliance with all corporate policies, protocols and procedures at site.

    Direct and supervise, with the help of the manager, the receptionists, phlebotomists, and specimen processors within the site’s responsibility.

    Completes operations by developing schedules; assigning and monitoring work; gathering resources; implementing productivity standards; resolving operations problems; implementing new procedures.

    Provides quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards.

    Actively evaluate and monitor the productivity and efficiency of all associated personnel as a mechanism to reduce cost and enhance productivity.

    Each employee will have a job description and all elements of that job description will be monitored on a monthly basis for each direct report.

    General Physical Requirements

    General Office work; prolonged sitting, occasional stooping, reaching, climbing and bending

    Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

    Manual dexterity for typing, 10-key work, and telephone use.

    Driving in all types of conditions, including heavily populated areas, freeway, and rural traffic, hours of darkness, and inclement weather.
