We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist/Processor with excellent people skills to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to manage a single-person site where you will be responsible for drawing and processing specimens while providing exceptional care to patients of all ages. Pay: $18.98 - $25.69 Per Hour DOE

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. / Closed 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. for lunch hour

Location: 1040 Webber Street 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Administrative duties: Providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring for instrumentation alarms.
• Technical responsibilities: Retrieving blood samples (via venipuncture) and other specimens, preparing them for laboratory testing, and performing screening procedures.
• Accurate data management: Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information.
• Specimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Compliance: Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance.
• Flexibility: Covering work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Education & Certification

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on phlebotomy experience (excluding certification training); 2 or more years preferred

• Experience working with patients of all age groups, including infants, children, adults, and older adults

• Strong preference for candidates with a consistent employment history and minimal career gaps

Licensing & Driving Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license

• Clean driving record

• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently

• Laboratory setting with automated equipment emitting ambient sounds.
