Job Description

Interpath Laboratory is seeking a full-time board-certified or board-eligible Pathologist to join our team in Omaha, NE.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and adaptable pathologist who thrives in a community-based setting and is comfortable handling a wide variety of case types across both anatomic and clinical pathology.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide diagnostic services across anatomic and clinical pathology, including:
    • Surgical pathology
    • Cytopathology
    • Frozen sections
    • Clinical pathology consultations
  • Collaborate with physicians, laboratory professionals, and administrative teams
  • Participate in laboratory quality programs, peer review, and case consultations
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting of results
  • Potential to serve as CLIA Laboratory Medical Director

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
  • Completion of residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)
  • Board-certified in AP/CP
  • Licensure in the state of Nebraska
  • Strong generalist diagnostic skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently located in Washington, Oregon or Idaho
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
  • Completion of residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)
  • Board-certified in AP/CP
  • Licensure in the state of Washington
  • Strong generalist diagnostic skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

General Physical Requirements

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting, visual focus for microscopic work, and manual dexterity for handling specimens and lab instruments. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting of materials up to 25 pounds may be necessary. Must follow all safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling biohazardous materials.
