Interpath Laboratory is accepting MLS/MLT candidates who are ready to join our immunology and molecular team. This team uses cutting edge technology, including but not limited to digital imaging IFA and PCR testing coupled with Mass Spectrometry.

Work Schedule:  Tuesday - Saturday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (1 hour lunch)

Essential Functions:

• Ensures accurate and timely testing of specimens.
• Pipettes a large volume of samples on a daily basis on a team rotation basis.
• Performs tests within the areas of Molecular and Immunology. May be assigned to work in other laboratory departments as needed.
• Operates and trouble-shoots complex automated laboratory equipment, electronic equipment, computer software, and precision instruments.
• Understands and adheres to HIPAA policies, procedures and regulations to assure patient confidentiality.
• Actively participates in departmental quality assurance monitoring.
• Follows all established improved quality (I.Q.) protocols.
• Follows established safety protocols.
• Performs other work related duties as the needs of the team evolve.
• Accepts clinical test results.
• Attends work regularly and on time.

Must utilize appropriate protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, and face shield) at all times while in the lab and are regularly exposed to infection by handling potentially infectious samples. Physical requirements, in addition to willingness & ability to wear protective gear while working, are: 

• Ability to stand for extended period of times
• Lift up to 25 pounds
• Mobility to climb stairs on a regular basis
• Must be able to distinguish color and pass vision acuity test
