Join Our Team at Interpath Laboratory in Ontario, OR!

We are seeking a reliable and flexible Phlebotomist/Processor to join our team. This position provides coverage across multiple locations, including family medicine clinics in the Ontario and Payette areas, as well as our Patient Service Center in Ontario.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a variety of settings and adapting to the needs of each location. Primary responsibilities include drawing patients, processing samples, and preparing them for send-out. Additional duties may vary by clinic. Some driving is required, so a valid driver’s license is necessary.

The work schedule is as follows:

• Monday & Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Wednesday & Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

• Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We’re looking for someone who brings a positive, can-do attitude every day, with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service to both patients and clinical staff. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset are essential.

Starting pay is $18/hour, with potential for increase based on experience.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Administrative duties: Providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring for instrumentation alarms.
• Technical responsibilities: Performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types as required, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening. 
• Accurate data management: Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information.
• Specimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.
• Compliance: Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance.
• Flexibility: Covering work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Education & Certification

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of on-the-job phlebotomy experience

• Reliability and flexibility with schedule

• Consistent employment history with minimal career gaps

Licensing & Driving Requirements

• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license

• Clean driving record

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members

• High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks
