Join Our Team at Interpath Laboratory in Boise, ID!

 

We are seeking a Full-Time Phlebotomist/Processor to support both our phlebotomy and urine drug screening operations.

 

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11am - 6pm 

 

*Seeking female candidates for observed urine collections of female patients* 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Specimen Collection & Handling: Collect blood and urine samples, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and adherence to collection protocols. Process and prepare specimens for laboratory testing, maintaining integrity.
  • Patient Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, answer patient inquiries, and observe patients during urine drug screenings to ensure compliance with protocols.
  • Compliance & Safety: Follow safety protocols, maintain HIPAA compliance, and ensure accurate recordkeeping and data entry for all specimens.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of previous phlebotomy/processing experience
  • Consistent employment history with minimal career gaps

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism

  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently

General Physical Requirements

  • Laboratory setting with automated equipment emitting ambient sounds.
  • High level of staff interaction in close quarters; must hear alarms to ensure timely response to safety needs.
  • Regular handling of potentially infectious samples, with required protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, face shield).
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day.
  • Frequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed.

OSHA Category: This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues, with Hepatitis-B vaccination offered to all performing these duties.
