Interpath Laboratory is hiring a Phlebotomy Processing Supervisor to lead operations across a moderately complex clinical laboratory environment. This hands-on leadership role oversees the full spectrum of laboratory workflow—from patient reception and specimen collection to processing and reporting—for all Interpath Laboratory, Inc. entities within the designated region.

 

This is a working supervisor position, so phlebotomy experience is essential. The Supervisor will be based primarily at our Twin Falls laboratory and patient service center, with regular travel required between our current sites in Twin Falls and Burley, Idaho. Travel may expand as new business opportunities emerge throughout the region.

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday with varying hours; Weekends as needed

General Areas of Responsibility:

  • Responsible for all operational activities in given area, including patient reception, specimen processing, and specimen collection.
  • Serves as an ambassador/liaison for Interpath Laboratory; instilling Interpath's culture of appreciation and quality in the team.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with all corporate policies, protocols and procedures at site.
  • Directs and supervises team, with support from the Regional Manager.
  • Ensures efficient laboratory and patient service center operations by developing work schedules, resolving operational problems; and implementing new procedures.
  • Provides quality services by enforcing quality and customer service standards.
  • Actively evaluates and monitors the productivity and efficiency of all team to ensure efficiently run operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Technical Skills

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Phlebotomy and specimen processing experience

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and database systems

Leadership Experience

  • Supervisory or management experience preferred

  • Skilled in workload management, delegation, and team coordination

  • Experience leading teams and facilitating meetings

Communication & Organization

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Effective with patients, staff, and leadership

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Licensing & Travel

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Regular travel required between lab sites

General Physical Requirements

Lab staff must wear appropriate protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, and face shield) at all times while in the lab and are regularly exposed to infection by handling potentially infectious samples. Physical requirements, in addition to willingness & ability to wear protective gear while working, are: 

  • Ability to stand for extended period of times
  • Lift up to 25 pounds
  • Mobility to climb stairs on a regular basis
  • Must be able to distinguish color and pass vision acuity test

OSHA Category: This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
